What's holding you back?

Agility training can feel like a lonely endeavour when you're on your own. Weekly classes might get you running sequences, but are you really learning how to train your dog to perform with joy and engagement, without frustration? I've worked with many teams around the world, and found that so many struggle with the same things.

  • Disengaged dogs
  • Over-the-top dogs
  • Too much failure in training
  • Not interested in the reward, or too much focus on the reward
  • Miscommunication on course
  • Start-line problems
  • Overwhelmed by challenging courses
  • Different behavior in training and trials
  • Difficulty discriminating verbal cues
  • Jumping problems
  • Too dependent on handler

Not your usual agility class

My love for dog training, teaching, and the connection with my dogs have made me fall more and more in love with agility since I started about 30 years ago. I want every agility handler to feel as passionate and joyful as I am about the sport. I want every dog to feel like agility training and competition is the best part of their week.

I love training different dogs and have developed principles that work with both high-drive border collies and breeds that you've never even seen doing agility before. I've also learned what different types of dogs need and how to adjust my training to get the most out of every dog and handler.

The Agility Connection is a subscription-based online program designed to make you fall in love with dog training and agility all over again. We strive to make good dog training easy to access even if you can't find a local community that gives you the tools and support that you need to thrive.

Good dog training starts from the bottom up. We will guide you through every step of the way and help you manage the fun challenges of modern agility without frustration or a feeling of being overwhelmed. For me – agility has never felt as easy or as fun. I will show you how to set up training sessions that teach difficult skills in a very short time, and make sure you get all the little details of puppy training and foundations that make the rest fun and easy.

We strive to have an active community where you can discuss your training challenges and find friends all over the world. It is fun to win competition and earn titles, but we think the most important thing about agility is the connection with your dog and the community of supportive friends.
